Design and produce portable media programs (podcasts) for distribution

Our major production is the sound-rich radio show Animals
Aloud,
for XM’s public radio channel. I chose guests and designed
the format for each show; supervised sound engineers and associate
producers in the recording, editing and final mix of the program;
wrote and voiced weekly sound promos as well as choosing images
and writing accompanying text for the show’s web site. Now
produced as a podcast

Research, write and produce feature stories and news spots for
local and national TV and radio shows. Specialize in stories on
medicine, the environment, arts & culture. Research and recommend
topics to show editors, conduct interviews, record and edit audio
and video using desktop programs, including Adobe Audition, Edius
and Pro Tools. Write scripts and design the sound mix. Coordinate
with editors and bureau chiefs in finalizing the script. Send sound
elements to broadcast outlets via FTP.

intake and booked satellite feeds from broadcast news sources in
Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
