Deirdre Kennedy is President and CEO of Aerial Productions, LLC which produces radio programming and podcasts.

Deirdre has worked in radio and television for 19 years, holding writing, reporting and editing positions at NBC News and ITN in London, KTVU-Channel 2 in Oakland, KQED 88.5 FM, and KRON 4 TV in San Francisco.

She has written and produced radio stories for NPR's All Things Considered, Morning Edition, Marketplace, Living On Earth, On the Media, Performance Today, The Infinite Mind, and BBC Outlook. She is probably best known to California listeners as a longtime newscaster and reporter for KQED FM in San Francisco. She has a B.A. in Rhetoric from U.C. Berkeley, where she also attended the Graduate School of Journalism.

She currently produces and hosts a podcast called Animals Aloud, which explores the complex bond between people and animals; and previously hosted a podcast for the San Francisco Modern Art Museum.

Deirdre is a native Londoner but speaks American English and can pull off a fine English accent. She has traveled extensively in Europe and Africa, where she studied ethnomusicology and gazed at animals.
